Out For Coffee

Just like for everybody else, 2016 had been something of a stressful year for Chris Wood. He’d starred in no less than three television shows and spent a good portion of the year travelling with his old Vampire Diaries castmates to conventions around the world. He hadn’t really had a chance to slow down and enjoy himself which was why the holiday break from filming Supergirl was so appreciated. He could go back to being an ordinary person and spending time with his family in his hometown where nobody really cared that he was some up and coming actor. It felt nice to be anonymous again.

After spending two weeks cramped up in a house with the rest of his large family though, Chris was eager for a break and decided to head down to a small coffee shop on the other side of town by himself. He needed to enjoy the peace and quiet and think about his career plans for the next year. His agent had already sent through some possibilities that he could be working on while still starring on Supergirl, all he had to do was decide which project he liked the most. It was refreshing to have that much creative freedom.

Once he reached the coffee shop, Chris grabbed himself a drink and found a booth near the corner. There were only a few other people around and none of them seemed to look twice at him which was precisely what he wanted. His phone was on silent, he didn’t have any music on and he was just enjoying the peace for a change. You didn’t get much of it in his family home, that was for sure. He had almost forgotten just how chaotic the holiday season could be.

A few minutes into his drink, Chris could feel the sensation of eyes on him and glanced up to find indeed that somebody was staring at him. In the direct opposite corner of the coffee shop sat an old man alone in a booth. His hair was grey, his cheeks and belly were bloated and he was clearly missing a few teeth when he smiled. He didn’t even blink, he just continued to watch Chris with an intensity that took him by surprise. Feeling a little uneasy, the actor smiled briefly and looked back down at his drink.

Trying his best to forget about the man watching him, Chris instead pulled up a few of the projects on his phone that his agent had sent him and started to scroll through. He was delighted to find that there were a few villain roles in there which were always fun to play. He’d really enjoyed his time on The Vampire Diaries for that exact reason, plus everybody seemed to say that he played villains really well. Why not play to his strengths more?

The sensation of being watched rolled over him again and Chris glanced up to find that yes, the old man was still watching him intently. Chris curved his lips into a frown, slightly uneasy at the intensity of the man’s stare but also a little confused as he could have sworn the old man had grey hair rather than a deep dark brown that was probably comparable to his own. How had he missed that? Maybe he was just still too tired from the stress of a family Christmas. It seemed the only reasonable explanation.

After that Chris found himself fighting the urge to glance back up at the man every now and then. He could hardly focus on his projects because he was getting distracted wondering just how much of the other man’s appearance he’d gotten wrong. Sure enough, the next time he looked up and caught the old man staring at him he realized that his cheeks were actually a lot thinner than he’d thought at first. They didn’t seem to carry the same wait as the rest of his body did.

Huh, I guess I’m just really tired, Chris mused before forcing himself to look away. It wasn’t long before their eyes locked again though and Chris received a jolt of surprise as he realized that he’d somehow managed to miss the dark beard that lined the man’s jaw, perfectly highlighting his thin face and matching his dark hair. It seemed utterly crazy for Chris to somehow have missed that!

Reaching down, Chris scratched absently at his expanded gut. He hadn’t been able to stop himself from eating more than his fair share over the holiday season from Thanksgiving to Christmas and it had left him a little bloated as a result. He was definitely going to need to hit the gym hard when he went back to Vancouver to resume filming because his personal trainer was going to be disappointed as hell in him. He really hadn’t stuck to his diet and exercise plan.

The next time Chris looked up to spy on his mystery man, he was somewhat ashamed to find that the man wasn’t even looking at him. He was scrolling through his phone, an intent look on his handsome face. It was obvious now that Chris had seriously over-estimated his age at first because he couldn’t be any older than thirty! Even though he had been sure that there were lines on the man’s face to suggest he was an older gentleman, there was now nothing but smooth spotless skin. Chris only wished he could have a perfect complexion like that because recently the lines of his face were becoming far too prominent for his liking. Make-up and wardrobe were having a nightmare trying to get him looking good.

Glancing back down at the local newspaper he’d been reading since he’d shown up at his favorite coffee shop that morning, Chris realized quite quickly that he was rock hard. He knew exactly why too: that handsome stud sat on the other side of the establishment, so young and effortlessly gorgeous. Unable to stop himself, he glanced up again and found that this time the man was looking back at him with a piercing glare.

There was something so familiar about his face that Donald couldn’t quite put his finger on. Was he a popstar or something? No, maybe an actor? It was definitely someone famous that his grandson, the skinny little gayboy that he was, lusted over and had pictures of up on his wall. Donald wished he could say that he couldn’t understand it but considering his three inch prick was currently standing to attention underneath his sagging belly, he was pretty sure he had a lot more in common with his grandson than he was willing to admit. It just wouldn’t be proper for a man of his senior age to come out as gay. He was resigned to his life as a retired mechanic living with a wife who had never pleased him and unsatisfied desires for the younger men he saw around town. What else could he really do with himself?

The new Chris Wood cupped his crotch, enjoying the hard bulge in his pants before downing the rest of his coffee. He’d been planning to escape from his miserable life as a closeted elderly man for a while and seeing this young stud sat in his favorite booth in his favorite coffee shop had only sealed the deal. He’d had no idea that Chris was some hotshot actor but that only made it better because now he was going to be escaping to the kind of perfect life he’d only ever dreamed of having before.

Winking at the new Donald, Chris enjoyed the deep shade of red that the old man turned while he made his way to the exit. The young actor would never remember his old life but that was fine, he was sure Donald wouldn’t have any issues fitting in with his misfit family. As for the new Chris? Well he couldn’t wait to get back on that plane to Vancouver and start enjoying his new life!

This was definitely the holiday break he’d needed!
